Leave nodirt behind.

Exterior cleaning for homes and strata buildings across Sydney's Northern Beaches. Roofs and gutters, walls, windows, driveways and paths.

Free quotes from Fin, a Northern Beaches local

Living near the coast means salt spray, sea mist and constant airborne grime. Over a couple of seasons it takes over. We take it back off, with the right method for every surface.

Soft washGarden hose pressure, so render and paint are cleaned, not blasted.Render, weatherboard, Colorbond, painted brick, garage doors
Purified waterNothing left in the water, so it dries spot free.Windows, frames, balustrades, solar panels
Rotary surface cleanOverlapping passes for one even colour.Concrete, exposed aggregate, pavers, sandstone, tiles

Top down.

Water runs down, so we work down. Every building starts at the gutters and finishes at the kerb, so nothing we've cleaned gets dirty again on the way.

  1. Roof and gutters

Gutters and valleys cleared by hand, debris bagged, every downpipe flushed until the water runs clear.

  2. Walls and glass, level by level

A soft wash lifts mould, algae and salt film off the render at garden hose pressure. The glass gets purified water, so it dries spot free.

  3. Driveways and paths

Rotary surface cleaning in overlapping passes, edges and steps by hand, runoff flushed away from the gardens.

Hi, I'm Fin.

Fin Marks, Head Ranger, in a Grime Rangers cap and hoodie beside his ute

I specialise in dirty jobs. I started Grime Rangers because I love bringing tired homes back to life.

Whether it's a mould-covered driveway, a weathered house or a stained patio, there's nothing more satisfying than seeing the transformation and knowing I've made a real difference to someone's home.

As a Northern Beaches local, I know how quickly salt, mould and grime can take over. That's why I treat every property with the same care I'd give my own.

No shortcuts. No rushed jobs. No surprises. Just honest work, professional equipment and doing the job properly.

What we clean

Nine services, each done with the method that suits the surface. Most of them pair up, so one visit and one setup can cover the lot.

House washing

Soft wash that strips salt, mould and cobwebs without damaging render, cladding or paint.

Illustration of a weatherboard and sandstone home

Over a couple of seasons the coastal film turns into black mould streaks along the eaves, green algae on shaded walls and a dull, tired looking home. The soft wash lifts it off at low pressure.

How we wash a house

  1. Walk the property with you, note problem areas and check surface types.
  2. Pre-wet gardens, cover sensitive fittings and set up safe access.
  3. Apply the soft wash and let it break down mould and salt film.
  4. Rinse top down at controlled pressure and detail the trouble spots by hand.

Included

  • Eaves, gutter faces, downpipes, window frames and cobwebs
  • Plants protected and rinsed down before and after

Roof and gutters

Gutters cleared, downpipes flushed and roofs treated for moss and lichen, with proper height safety.

Illustration of terracotta roof tiles

Gutters full of leaf litter and gum nuts are the fastest route to overflowing water and rusted-out guttering. On the Beaches, with gums and Norfolk pines everywhere, this is maintenance rather than a one-off.

How we clean roofs and gutters

  1. Set up safe access and check the roof condition before stepping on it.
  2. Clear gutters and valleys by hand, bagging debris as we go.
  3. Flush every downpipe and confirm water is running clear.
  4. Treat roof surfaces for moss and lichen where required and rinse down.

Included

  • Box gutters and valleys, debris bagged and removed
  • Photos of the finished work so you can see what you paid for

Windows

Purified water that dries streak free, including frames, sills, tracks and flyscreens.

Illustration of glass sliding doors facing Norfolk pines and the ocean

Salt haze on coastal glass dulls the view you paid for. We clean exterior glass with a purified water system, and we don't stop at the pane.

How we clean windows

  1. Brush down frames, sills and cobwebs so grit isn't dragged over glass.
  2. Scrub the glass with purified water and agitate stubborn salt film.
  3. Final purified rinse, left to dry spot free.
  4. Wipe tracks and sills and refit any screens removed.

Included

  • Frames, sills and sliding tracks wiped out, not skipped
  • Flyscreens removed, washed and refitted on request

Driveways

Concrete, pavers, aggregate and tiles brought back to their original colour.

Illustration of an exposed aggregate driveway beside a sandstone wall

A driveway is the biggest single surface most people see when they pull up to your home. Our job is taking the grey-green film, tyre rubber and oil shadow off it.

How we clean a driveway

  1. Sweep and clear, then spot treat oil and organic staining.
  2. Apply a degreaser or algaecide, depending on what we're dealing with.
  3. Rotary surface clean in overlapping passes for a uniform result.
  4. Detail edges and steps by hand and flush runoff away from gardens.

Included

  • Oil, transmission fluid and rust spots pre-treated
  • Sealing and paver re-sanding on request

Paths and walkways

Side passages, steps and pool paths cleared of the slippery green film.

Illustration of sandstone garden steps in morning sun

Shaded side paths and sandstone steps are where households actually have their falls. Cleaning them is as much a safety job as a cosmetic one.

How we clean paths

  1. Clear leaf litter and pre-treat the growth on the surface.
  2. Surface clean or wand, depending on width and material.
  3. Hand detail steps, edges and awkward corners.
  4. Rinse down and check for remaining slippery patches.

Included

  • Sandstone at reduced pressure with a stone safe treatment
  • Runoff managed away from garden beds and pools

Patios and outdoor areas

Alfresco areas, terraces, pool surrounds and decks stripped of algae, mould and barbecue grease.

Illustration of a tiled terrace beside a pool

The outdoor area is the part of the house you live in over summer, and the first to go slippery and green over winter. We bring the whole zone back at once.

How we clean a patio

  1. Move light furniture, protect plants and pre-rinse.
  2. Treat algae, mould and grease with the right product for the surface.
  3. Clean floors with a surface cleaner or wand, depending on material.
  4. Detail edges, walls and ceilings and rinse the whole area down.

Included

  • Tiles, pavers, concrete, timber and composite decking
  • Ceilings, beams, balustrades and cobwebs

Solar panels

Deionised water and soft brushes, so your array produces what it should.

Illustration of solar panels above the ocean

Panels are self-cleaning in theory and grubby in practice. Coastal salt, dust, pollen and bird mess quietly take a bite out of your generation every month.

How we clean solar panels

  1. Inspect the array for damage or loose fittings first.
  2. Rinse the surface to lift loose dust and salt.
  3. Soft brush each panel with deionised water, working around wiring.
  4. Final deionised rinse so panels dry without mineral spotting.

Included

  • No abrasives, no harsh chemicals, no pressure washing the array
  • Roof access handled safely with no walking on the panels

Fences

Timber, Colorbond, vinyl and rendered fences washed clean of mould, algae and dirt splash.

Illustration of a timber paling fence along a side passage

Fences take the shaded, damp side of your property and quietly go black. A wash costs a fraction of replacement and often removes the reason people think a fence needs replacing at all.

How we clean fences

  1. Assess the material and check for loose boards or panels.
  2. Pre-wet surrounding plants and lawn.
  3. Apply the correct cleaner and let it break the growth down.
  4. Rinse at the right pressure for the material and detail posts and caps.

Included

  • Both sides where access allows
  • The right prep before oiling, staining or painting

Garage doors

The biggest panel on your street frontage, washed back to its actual colour.

Illustration of a charcoal garage door

Road film, salt and cobwebs settle on a garage door faster than anywhere else on the house, because it faces the street all day.

How we clean garage doors

  1. Rinse loose dust and cobwebs off the panel and surrounds.
  2. Apply a soft wash detergent suited to the finish.
  3. Hand agitate panel edges, ribs and handles.
  4. Rinse clean and dry off the visible faces.

Included

  • Tracks, surrounds and door frames wiped down
  • Pairs with a driveway clean: same visit, one setup

Will pressure washing damage my render or paint?

We don't pressure wash house exteriors. Soft washing does the cleaning chemically at garden hose pressure, which is why it's the recommended method for render and painted surfaces.

Can you remove old oil stains?

Most of them, yes. Fresh oil comes out completely. Older stains that have soaked deep into porous concrete usually lighten dramatically rather than vanish, and we'll tell you honestly on site what to expect.

How often should a Northern Beaches home be washed?

Most coastal homes look best on a yearly wash. Heavily shaded or beachfront properties often need it every eight to ten months.

How often do gutters need clearing?

Twice a year under heavy tree cover, once a year for most other homes. After a big storm is always worth a look.

Do you walk on tile roofs?

Only where it's safe and structurally sound. Where it isn't, we work from ladders, edges and extension gear instead.

Will cleaning void my solar warranty?

Not with our method: deionised water and soft brushes, with no pressure washing and no harsh chemicals, which is what most panel makers' cleaning guides ask for. If your warranty sets its own cleaning rules, show us and we'll follow them.

Do you clean the inside of windows too?

Our standard service is exterior. Interior glass can be added when you book if access is straightforward.

Can you do the neighbour's side of the fence?

Where there's access and they're happy for us to, yes.
